Pictures
There is a place for a fire
and lots of picnic tables
which can be moved
around.
This picture shows the
open field with the
surrounding forest. You
can see the fire circle
there in the middle. Lots
of space for tents! There
are apple trees in the
distance which in the fall
attract deer.
There are sheltered
areas just in case we
get some rain. The
smaller buildings to the
left have running water
and toilets.
This picture is taken
from the fire circle. You
can see there are more
tables under the shelter.
Can you find this pond on
the trail maps? There are
several other ponds, this
one is the largest.
A long drive way brings
us down to the camping
area. The building shown
here in the distance is
another shelter, also just
behind it are more
washroom facilities.
There are brooks which
run along the trails.
The trails take you into
the forest. It is not
unusual to see deer, wild
turkey, and partridge
living and playing in the
forest.
The trails are easy to follow
and well maintained with
few steep hills. Wild flowers
like trilliams and lady
slipers add to the
experience and adventure.
These early blooms are
colts foot which have a
home on a bank at the
waters edge.
The brooks are clear and
you can see the fish in
the water while dragon
flys circle above.
